Eighth Grade Examination Under New Law Conducted
The first eighth grade examination under the new law was held in Chateau by the board appointed by the commissioners. Only three applicants met the required grades, four others qualified for partial next exam in August, with results aligning with other counties. Five applicants were excluded for insufficient evidence of full eighth year work. They may reapply in August with credentials.

Mrs D D Cole plans a July departure for an extended visit in the East and South. She will spend time with her daughter Mrs Chas Cunningham of Red Lodge before visiting Waterloo Iowa, then head south for the winter with relatives. Dr Davidson a US stud inspector has recently inspected horses said to be affected by doctrine infection but finds no symptoms.

Ladies Hostesses Delight Women at Methodist Social
Mesdames Sterling McDonald Chas McDonald and K G McLean entertained the ladies on Industrial Wednesday in the church parlors. A satisfactory lunch of boiled ham creamed potatoes salad pickles bread and butter coffee and pie was served by the three hostesses and assistants. The crowd enjoyed the gathering. The hostesses are to be congratulated.

Cascade county cases reach verdicts in Teton county interest
Harris vs Kropp favored Kropp while Neuman vs Woolman and Christian awarded the plaintiff 2000 dollars with a stay bond for a possible new trial. The plaintiff later accepted 1400 dollars. Neuman vs Sule T Christian settled out of court.
