Twin Bridges Prepares Tourists Camp for Vigilante Trail
Twin Bridges residents mobilized to create a thriving tourist camping ground along the Beaverhead River. Over 50 volunteers cleaned, filled holes, and smoothed roads while locals donated materials and labor. A new cook shack, soon showers, free firewood, and electric lights enhance the site, with support from the Rod and Gun Club, businesses, and the Orphans' Home band providing morale. Visitors from around the world are invited to use the grounds at no charge.

Howling lease gusher anchors northern oil boom in Montana
W. W. Cheely reports the Howling Iease well, a premier Montana strike, flowing 3,000 to 5,000 barrels on flush, with settled production 1,500 to 2,000 bpd. The Dawson-Merkle gusher, drilled on section 9, township 35, drew massive flows, caused oil to flood the site, and energized regional investment led by Midnorthern Oil and Stevenson Associated Royalties.
