A narrator recalls a stay at Flathead Lake visiting fruit picking canning and viewing the ten mile water stretch from a high house. He notes Kalispell's charm and a wedding party at a coffee shop as a line from the Wizard of Oz and ends with advice on marriage and worth.
A narrator describes three picture shows in a city of six or seven thousand and mentions Great Falls with over thirty five thousand runs. The pace is Saturday afternoon and Tuesday night with cherries and Loganberries described as mouth watering. The text hints at future notes on conditions, harvest soon implying hustle on the road home.

Grove 74 and Ole Hendrickson 76, perish from exposure in the mountains during a gold prospecting trip. Barker survives after guiding the car back.
Last week national forests implemented a policy requiring all vehicles tourists and campers to carry an axe shovel and bucket due to rising fire hazard. Campers are urged to use matches cigarettes and campfires with extreme care to prevent fires.
The Woman's Club will hold a meeting of its directors and officers at the library this Saturday at 3 p.m. All other members are urged to attend.
The Chamber of Commerce calls a meeting of local businessmen tonight at 7 30 at the city hall to discuss possible plans for the Labor Day rodeo. Attendance is urged.
E R O Neil elected chairman of the Surplus Foods committee in Teton county following an explanation of the Food Stamp Plan by F H Callister of USDA. The group will promote the plan, police rules, and act as a clearing agency for merchants.
City Clerk J G Jackson reports final totals for the year ending June 30 1941 showing receipts of $18 960 13 and disbursements of $15 089 56 leaving a cash balance of $10 601 15. Special improvement districts hold $265 87 and funds include general 2102 96 street 2018 40 park 643 20 cemetery 724 77 water 4742 75 band 369 07. Total current and fixed assets are listed at $72 810.
The county 4 H home economics elimination contest at Chateau drew strong interest and close competition. Winners include Demostration Contest top placers Verna Huffman Anna Lee Dauwalder Kathryn Reiquam and others with state and national trips explained for top performers for Mids Swanson Donna Allum Leah Ferris Charlotte Rendicker and Mary Margaret Loch.
