Great Falls reports the North Montana State fair August 4 to 9 will stress Montana's national defense role. Exhibits in the minerals building led by Anaconda Copper Mining Co will feature a life sized mine funnel display. The fair will highlight the state's prominence as a livestock producer and its output of meat wheat copper and oil for food and defense.

Montana State Fair Showcases Beef Cattle and 4-H Exhibits
The Montana fair features top beef cattle by the Great Northwest International Hereford Show and junior divisions like the state 4 H baby beef and fat lamb shows. 17 counties enter agricultural displays including Montana crops and 4 H FFA exhibits. Bowling Alley Project Proposed for Choteau Building
