W. G. Levy Succumbs to Cancer at Masonic Home
W. G. Bill Levy, longtime Choteau resident and Mason, died of cancer at the Masonic home in Helena. He moved from Wisconsin after 1900, worked as a bookkeeper and clerk, served as deputy assessor, ran a fire insurance agency, and managed a small grocery. He was active in several Masonic bodies and died unmarried, with Wisconsin relatives surviving.

About fifty four and three quarters percent of every tax dollar in Teton county goes to maintenance and support of schools this week. Of this amount roughly four and a third percent funds the Greater University of Montana. In 1931 total state and county taxes amount to 364510.23 with 199472.09 charged to schools 51156.23 to the general fund 20041.90 to roads and 6394.53 to bridges.

Ole Kregness Seriously Injured In Fall At Chateau Club
Ole Kregness 69 section foreman for the Great Northern railway was seriously injured Sunday afternoon in a fall on the steps to the Chateau club entrance. He suffered a broken left arm several broken fingers and a facial cut with skull fracture unlikely per Dr. Bateman. His daughter Thora Kregness arrived from Great Falls to nurse him. He was taken to Chateau hospital and remains in serious but improved condition.

Bob Clarkson county agent described the 4 H club trip that took neighborhood stockmen to representative farms for calf feeding demonstrations. Harvey Upman Injured Driving Hay Stacker
Harvey Upman aged 17 was injured driving a hay stacker on the Harry Odenwald place when a broke tug and a flying single-tree struck his right side. He was taken to Chateau hospital. doctors planned X rays but deemed them unnecessary. no hemorrhages observed and his condition was described as improved. He is the son of H. D. Upman, local blacksmith.
