Rain in June and early July produced favorable growing conditions for spring wheat in Teton county. Reid Infant Daughter Passes Away in Falls
Dolores Reid infant daughter of Mr and Mrs Hugh Reis of Choteau died Monday at Great Falls while visiting Mary Pigs Vis Nelson. The three month old had appeared well but apparently contracted an illness. Last rites were held at Trinity Lutheran church in Choteau with Rev A Bernard Gravdal presiding and burial followed in Choteau cemetery.

Man Injured In Rodeo Reported Recovering at Hospital
Claire Davis a Browning rodeo contestant injured at the Chateau rodeo on July 4 is reported to be recuperating at Conrad hospital. He broke one leg in three places bulldogging a steer during the afternoon performance. Davis may need six weeks before testing his leg and walking on crutches. The injury was the most serious at a Chateau rodeo in recent years.
