Price support for the 1951 wheat crop will average $2.18 per bushel nationally, up from $1.99 for 1950. Teton County PMA chair Jake Luinstra notes a $2.00 loan rate, 19 cents higher than 1950, with parity at $2.42 on July 1. Loans through CCC run to Jan 1952, due by Apr 30 1952, with eligibility limited to certain wheat grades and classes.

No More Haircuts On Saturday Night

Choteau German Band Seeks 14 Horses For Fair Parade
The Choteau German Band aims to borrow 14 gentle horses for practice and a horseback performance at the North Montana State Fair in Great Falls on opening day. Dr. C. W. Boussard, Dr. H. W. Bateman, and Stuart Myers request saddle club members to contact them immediately with suitable mounts. A drag horse is needed for the tuba and a colt for the piccolo.

Second Annual Montana Championship High School Rodeo Planned
Final details are set for the second annual Montana Championship high school rodeo in Augusta this Saturday and Sunday with 110 contestants from across Montana. Two performances will accommodate all, proceeds fund trips to the national in Sulphur, Louisiana, and the 1952 national will be hosted by Augusta. The Saturday evening rodeo features a Rodeo Queen contest after the 7 pm show, with Sunday opening a parade led by Cascade high school band.

Red Cross Outlines Korea War Aid Efforts
Leo Murphy chair of the Teton County Red Cross reports nearly twenty million comfort items valued at 191770 dollars were sent to American troops in Korea from June last year through last March. The 10 month tally includes books shaving kits towels brushes writing materials cards and cigarettes. By last May 290 Red Cross representatives served with the armed forces in Korea including 142 field directors and 148 hospital workers.

Mrs Jeanette Ann Campbell 86 of Pendroy died Tuesday at a Choteau hospital. Requiem High Mass will be at St Joseph's Choteau at 10 am Friday with Rev T J Gannon officiating. Rosary tonight at 7. She was born July 24 1864 in Scotland and is survived by three sons, 12 grandchildren, relatives in Australia Scotland and the United States. Interment will be in Choteau cemetery.
