Officials Discuss Transfer Track Spur Between Lines
A Monday meeting with Great Northern officials and Chateau shippers produced no action on cancelling a petition to connect the Great Northern and Milwaukee tracks in Choteau. The plan would allow carload freight transfers to shipper warehouse tracks, improving service, though the Great Northern opposes the spur while Milwaukee has no opposition. If signers do not withdraw, railroad commission action remains possible. Participants included J. F P. Pewters, C. F. O'Hara, and Fred Weary.
