Sportsmen oppose Fish and Game license fee hike in Helena
A Sunday meeting in Helena brought together several Montana sportsmen associations to oppose proposed hikes in fish and game licenses. Dr. Michael Kelly Chateau led the session, criticizing the lack of specifics from the Fish and Game Department and noting potential budget-driven range cutbacks. The group called for an independent audit of the department and unanimously passed a resolution mirroring HB89. Representatives from Teton County, Cascade Wildlife, Gallatin Elk, United Sportsmen of Montana, Beaverhead Sportsmens Club, and unaffiliated sportsmen attended.
