Fire Destroys Boggs Home in Chateau Saturday
A fire gutted the D N Boggs residence in Chateau early Saturday, forcing five family members to flee in subzero weather. Maude Boggs 17 acted heroically aiding her family and retrieving her father from the blaze despite severe frostbite to her feet. The interior and contents were destroyed. the family received relief aid from the State Relief Commission and local assistance.

Local ice dealer H. I. Adams reports an excellent ice crop when temperatures dip but stay below freezing for extended periods. Frosty conditions and brittle ice hinder work, though about 700 tons of 18 inch thick clear ice will be produced, up 100 tons from last year, with plans to sell much in Great Falls.
