The three day program featured exhibitions sightseeing meetings talks by Montana leaders and a banquet with Governor Roy E. Ayres addressing the crowd.

Michael Sullivan a long time resident of Iowa and Montana died at his Chateau home on Monday January 16 at 7 50 am after a two year battle with cancer of the right face He was born near Iowa City on December 17 1859 and married Margaret McGinty Armstrong in 1900 He is survived by his wife a stepson John Armstrong a sister in law Hannah McGinty two sisters Katherine and Ella and other relatives Funeral services were held at the Catholic church with local and distance attendees listed among pallbearers and relatives

An eye survey by Dr. H. B. Mills, state entomologist at Montana State College, shows three major grasshopper infestation zones across Montana with additional hot spots. The survey estimates 2,103,463 acres of cropland and 3,489,688 acres of range land affected, needing 19,241 tons of poison bait.
