Walsh Bill Aims to Expand Missoula Federal Building
Senator T. J. Walsh introduces a measure to fund enlarging the crowded Missoula federal building with an appropriation estimated between 125000 and 250000 dollars. The Missoula chamber of commerce and civic groups have long pressed for relief as forest service, bureau of roads, federal district court, and other offices are scattered across town due to insufficient space. The proposal, now referred to the public buildings and grounds committee, will join omnibus measures for national building plans. Currently the forest service occupies two stories in the federal building and also uses space in the Montana, Smith, and Masonic Temple buildings.
