The Teton Memorial Hospital Association will hold its annual meeting in the county courthouse court room on Monday night Jan 17. Four directors will be nominated and elected for three year terms, with stockholders from each area to submit nominations. Directors must be stockholders with dues paid. Regular dues are 1 dollar yearly or 25 dollars for a paid up life membership.

Farmers Must Apply for Beet Acreage 1955 Proportionate Shares
Farmers planning to grow sugar beets in 1955 must file a request for a proportionate share with the county ASC committee by February 1, 1955. The Secretaries of Agriculture earlier announced a 1955 allocation of 50,980 acres for Montana as sugar stocks rise and beet production expands. Reckless driving fines in two Montana court cases
In Justice J. M. Sulgrove's court Mrs. Lina Tokerud of Choteau forfeited a $25 bond on a reckless driving charge after an accident. In Justice William Irwin's court Kenneth Pike of Choteau was fined $10 for lacking a valid license and $25 for reckless driving causing an accident.

Robert Dabney 78 Buried at Pendroy after Long Illness
Funeral services for Robert Alexander Dabney 78 were held Tuesday January 4 at the First Methodist church with Rev Grant Moore officiating. A retired farmer he died December 30 after a yearlong illness. Born October 9 1876 in Cherryville Kansas he moved to Missouri at age six and later lived in Billings and Kirksville. He had lived with his son Gene in Pendroy since 1948 and is survived by three sons Keith Wilford and Gene, a brother Fred Dabney and other relatives. Burial was in the Ghoteau cemetery.

Former Chateau Resident Mary Rosette Dies in Falls
Mary Rosette 48 of Box Elder Montana died at a Great Falls hospital Tuesday night after a lengthy illness. Born May 3 1906 in Augusta she lived at the Chateau until 1930 when she moved to Box Elder with husband and family. Survivors include her husband John and several children grandchildren and siblings. Her body will be sent to Havre for funeral services and burial.

Dryman Case Moves to Hill County Court
The third murder trial of Frank Dryman, twice convicted in Toole county, is ordered transferred to Hill county district court. Judge R. M. Hattersley of Conrad assigned the case after Dryman’s appeals, with District Judge C. B. Elwell of Havre to preside in Hill county. The slaying of Clarence E. Pellett occurred near Shelby in 1951 and Dryman, 24, is the defendant.
