Snow Shovelers Urged to Shovel Safely in Cold Weather
Chicago readers are advised by the American Medical Association to take it easy when shoveling snow. Use a small shovel or power equipment, push rather than lift, and work in stages with rests. Wear warm gear, consider a cold air mask, and ensure firm footing to reduce heart strain and fall risk.
