William G Cook Pioneer Laid to Rest in Choteau
William G Cook died Saturday at 12 30 p m in his Choteau home after a long illness. He was born March 28 1868 in Mount Clemens Michigan and came west as a youth, later ranching, freighting, and helping build the first courthouse in Choteau. Survived by his wife Lidwina Meyer and seven children, services were held at the Masonic hall with Odd Fellows conduct and burial in Chateau cemetery.

Prominent Dutton Farmer J A Molter Dies of Pneumonia
J A Molter known as Art died Monday in a Great Falls hospital from pneumonia. He lived near Dutton, born August 15, 1886 in Michigan, resident of Teton county 19 years, married Alma Berberg in Vancouver in May 1921. Survived by widow, two children Adella and Shirley, three brothers, five sisters, and his mother. He was a member of the Dutton Masonic lodge.

Saturday Showing of 1935 Ford V 8 Attracts Visitors
Automobile dealers and owners toured the Taylor garage Saturday for the first nationwide showing of the 1935 Ford V 8. L E Taylor reported about 200 visitors by noon with many more expected. He highlighted center poise achieved by engine and body shift, revised seating, longer springs, and a 123 inch wheelbase. Ford engineers promise smoother rides and easier handling, with a front seat ride for back seat passengers. The 1935 line includes 12 body types and notable changes in body lines, brakes, clutch, engine refinements, safety glass, ventilation, and a opening windshield. The standard sedan was shown. deluxe models offer further refinements.

Local beer licenses cost 50 dollars and cigarette licenses five dollars with due dates tied to the new year. County Protective Association to Fight County Consolidation
The Montana County Protective Association formed in Helena on December 17 plans to push a constitutional amendment at the next legislature. The measure would require a county vote to approve any forced consolidation, allowing voluntary unions but blocking forced ones. Secretary D R Andrews of Virginia City says the group opposes compulsory consolidations and will oppose attempts by either legislature or initiative measures.

County Treasurer Elmer Smith begins accepting 1935 license applications on December 15. 1934 registrations expire December 31. Last year Teton County registered 1 888 vehicles, returning $10 401.70 to the road fund. costs including plate manufacturing were $940.80. Early renewals help highway operations. after May 1 a 10 percent penalty applies. Storage at Court House Being Increased Relief Labor Employed
An improvement project at the court house will expand storage facilities. A 20 by 10 foot fuel oil tank is being removed from the rear basement. A trench will be dug, a wall hole cut, and the tank hauled out by a cat. County Surveyor Obert Patterson leads the operation with relief labor from FERA, about seven men, finishing in about 10 days.

Clean-up Turkey Shipment Scheduled by Teton County
The Teton County Shipping association set January 15 for a turkeys only clean-up shipment. Birds will be loaded and graded in Chateau and received at the American Legion pavilion, same as the December shipment. County Agent Fred Willson notes a strengthening turkey market with top grades in New York fetching 28 to 30 cents.
