Robert L. Hickman Leaves Air Force for Airline Career
Capt. Robert Hickman son of Mr and Mrs Ralph Hickman is discharged after six years in the Air Force. He begins three months training in December in Kansas City then will join Trans World Airlines as a pilot. The ex-Chateau man flew B47 bombers two years served in England Sewart AFB Tennessee and flew troops to Vietnam from Okinawa and the Philippines. The Hickmans will reside in Chicago.

Sergeant Dalton J. Meaux Jr of Kaplan Louisiana serves as a weapons mechanic with the Aerospace Defense Command unit from Malmstrom AFB Montana deployed for six months in Korea. The 71st Fighter Interceptor Squadron replaces Osan bases defense, with Delta Darts arriving after long over water flight aided by KC-135 refuelers. The unit earned the Air Force Outstanding Unit Award for a nonstop Kansas City to Alaska mission. Meaux is a Vietnam veteran and Kaplan High School alumnus.
