Heart Failure Claims Life of Henry Jensen at Dupuyer

Henry Jensen died at his ranch near Dupuyer on February 21 from heart failure after six months of illness. He was born in 1868 in Denmark and came to America in 1884 before settling in Montana. Surviving spouses Veronica Salois and Rosie Salois, and children Henry Jr Jens Peter Andrew Jess Jensen Jens Thompson and Tomy deceased, along with several brothers and sisters. Funeral services were held Tuesday at Dupuyer with Rev. H. M. Engle presiding.

Collins Man Mathias Halden Dies at Maynard Hospital

Collins resident Mathias J. Halden died Tuesday afternoon at Maynard hospital after a two week illness. Funeral services will be held next Sunday at the Lutheran church in Big Sandy with burial there. Halden, born May 26, 1849 in Ringsaken Norway, lived in Minnesota and Montana before settling in Collins in 1929 with his daughter and son in law Olaf and Mrs Larson. He married Mina Brotten in 1877. she died in 1928. Surviving are two sons John A. Halder and Carl M. Halden, two daughters Mrs Olaf Larson and Mrs Ema Knotts, seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Commercial Club to Elect Officers at Banquet

Election of officers for the coming year to be held at a Commercial club banquet scheduled for next Tuesday evening March 4 at 6 30 in the K P hall. Tickets are 5 cents. Officers to be elected include president vice president secretary treasurer and two directors. A short musical program will precede the yearly report on activities finances and coming plans along with committee chairmen reports.

Local Masonic Lodge members held their annual Washington Birthday celebration. J Van Telyingen of Great Falls gave a talk on Washington, Vernon Cook of Great Falls performed magic tricks, and a Dutton orchestra provided dance music after a turkey dinner.

County Assessor Gilbert Lee announces start of property assessments for real estate and personal property. Returns may be filed at the assessor's Chateau office or at Greenfield, Fairfield, Bynum, Collins, Agawam, Power, Dutton, and Pendrey locations on listed dates. Outlook Meetings Held Across Counties Discuss War Impact
