Youth and Borrowed Car Returned From Kevin
Raymond Barr aged 18 was returned to Chateau by Under-Sheriff J L Billings from Kevin where he and his bride of 16 plus another couple were detained by Toole county officers. Barr drove Wm A Emerick car believed stolen from a garage behind the old Lestrud home. Barr claims Emerick gave permission to use the car but officers doubt it. Barr admitted stealing a Burch car spotlight and another at a later date. He pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 30 days in county jail for the Burch theft. The sheriff’s office continues to probe the Emerick car case with possible further charges.

The 15th annual Teton Oldest Settlers reunion drew the largest crowd in years at Woodmen Hall.
