Parent Scout Banquet Marks Boy Scout Anniversary
The 25th anniversary of Boy Scouts in America was marked by activities sponsored by troop No. 51 led by scoutmaster K. E. Sturgis. A Friday banquet and program at Social Center hall drew about 80 attendees, with speakers from the area council and local schools, a first aid demonstration, and a court of honor elevating several scouts.

Death Claims Mrs. Della Peters at 49
Mrs. Della Peters 49 widow of H. C. Peters died at Chateau hospital after six months there grave to follow in Choteau. Born Della Fortner February 6 1886 Providence Virginia she married Houston C. Peters in Bristol Tennessee in 1905 and moved to Great Falls then Chateau. Surviving are four sons Houston Carl Vincent and Hubert all of Choteau and three sisters Mrs L F Round Mrs Nan O'Dell and Mrs Ada Greenwalt. Funeral Saturday at 3 30 PM at the Methodist church led by Rev. Edwin Dover.

Miss Evelyn Cutz former Chateau creamery stenographer and bookkeeper accepts a position in the court house. She succeeds Miss Charlotte Looney who recently left for Helena. Cutz, daughter of the late C J Cutz of Power, previously worked in the county FERA office and is a Power High School and Great Falls Business College graduate.

Auld Acquaintance Recalled At 24th Olde Tyme Folk Frolic
Teton's Oldest Settlers gathered for their 24th annual event at Chateau with 125 attending from across the county and some from outside. Nine members died since last year as the group welcomed nine new members and elected new officers while praising a fine banquet and old time songs.

Nine new 4-H clubs have formed for 1935 and two from 1934 have reorganized, per County Agent Fred Willson. Dr Clarence Stephens son of the late Dr C J B Stephens plans to open a modern dental office in the city He recently passed state board examinations in Helena and received his license to practice He completed four years at Northwestern Dental College in Chicago and held Psi Omega dental fraternity membership He graduated from Teton County High School in 1927 and studied at the State University in Missoula before pursuing dentistry locally

Malone Sells 1000 Cattle as Market Rises
Two sales totaling about 1000 head were made by C. K. Malone this week. George Sinton of Manhattan bought 750 head of yearlings and cows. Creat Falls Meat Co. bought 250 head of beef cattle. Delivery to Sinton is set for April 1. Malone noted prices were about double those a year ago reflecting a strong upturn in the cattle market.

A meeting of the county finance committee at Chateau Tuesday approved pooling funds from Chateau Fairfield and other communities, allocating 342.70 to a single fund. Dutton declined county joint support. Thurber elected chair and Jourdonnais secretary treasurer as the panel plans a case record of infantile paralysis and related disabilities to guide future aid and possibly a revolving fund.

A second Teton county planning board meeting featured H G Bolster Montana State College extension land economist outlining new land use policies. He noted the Taylor grazing bill does not apply here due to only 24 percent public domain, below the 20 percent required. Board approved Fairfield area projects including Sun River electrification and road, feeder roads, a community recreation park and hall, and Dutton water works. Additional favored plans include irrigation on Willow Creek, east side sewage and drainage for Choteau, Harvey lake dam enlargements, a Farmington canal gopher extermination program under FERA not PWA, all prepared for possible federal public works.

Cattle Pass Accident Near Bob Fairburn Place
A cattle pass under construction on a county road near the old Bob Fairburn place on the Teton caused an auto crash last Saturday night. Gillis LaRance was pinned by the arm under the Ford when it fell into a 12 foot pit. Ted Brown had a broken nose and injured teeth. Woodrow Collins and Philip Doughty hit across the road and damaged a tire. They freed LaRance with help from Collins and Doughty, and the injured were taken to Chateau for treatment. No lights were reported at the scene.

North Montana College Student Song Gains Popularity
Miss Winona Gitchel, Teton high graduate, wrote a song at North Montana College Havre that reports say is growing in popularity among students. The Nomoco notes her piece Lights of Northern Montana uses the tune Believe Me If All Those Endearing Young Charms, the same as Fair Harvard, and may boost her future prestige.

Re-registration of unemployed planned at county court house
