Montana experiments at Havre show oat hay as the most efficient roughage for beef cows during winter. Spring and winter rye hays closely match alfalfa and blue joint in value, while cattle resist rye hay more than other hays. Large grain hay yields on summer fallow can be profitable.
The Teton Bulldogs improved against Cascade and Fairfield with better ball handling and shooting, led by Rose and Schmitz. LeDesky fouled out early, Dellny scored eight, and Browning looms as a tough test in the final home game.
