Two marriage licenses were issued recently by Miss Meda McLean deputy clerk of the court. The first on Dec 19 to Howard L Gray and Magdaline E Sidor both from Great Falls and age listed legal. The second on Dec 24 to George Coulter 21 of Kevin and Eunice Jolley 19 of Augusta. Justice J G Jackson performed the ceremony at the clerk of the court's office.
Court House Faces New Year With Prospects of Few Changes
The new year brings no major shifts at Teton county court house as voters left most offices intact. Elmer C. Smith will be replaced as county treasurer by Oral G. Meadows on the first Monday in March, and Otto Wagnild is re elected as county assessor with his deputies retained.

Heavy fog Saturday night led to snow starting Sunday morning and continuing off and on through Monday. About three inches fell with drifting but travel remained largely open. Helena officials announce a public reception for Governor-elect Roy E. Ayers and Mrs. Ayers at the state capitol Monday evening January 4 at eight o'clock. Col. False fire alarm at old creamery prompts response
A false alarm last Thursday drew Chateau fire department to the old creamery at town north entrance. City workers Gus Thompson and Marshal King were burning leaves nearby, mistaken for a blaze in the building now owned by Teton County Shipping association and housing a seed cleaning plant.
