Mrs Henry Dale age 29 mother of five died Tuesday morning at Fairfield hospital from influenza. She is survived by her husband Henry Dale her parents Mr and Mrs A O Lees and three brothers Oscar Obert and Gilbert Lees. Funeral is set for Saturday at 1 PM at Fairfield Lutheran Church.
James Gibson, first white settler of Teton County and longtime resident, died after a period of illness. Born June 1846 in Philadelphia, he served in the Civil War, later homesteaded near the Sun River, and built a renowned cattle brand Flying 0. He helped blaze western trails, supported Republican causes, and left a legacy of county development and pioneer settlement. He married Jennet Fleetwood in 1883 and was active in Masonic and veterans groups. Burial services were held at Chateau Lodge No. 44 S of Chateau.
