Local Civil War Veteran Nick Tuttle Dies at 85
Nicholas O. Tuttle a 40 year resident of Teton county and Civil War veteran died Sunday at Deaconess hospital Great Falls aged about 85. He served in the Federal army from 1864 to 1867, was born in New Hampshire and lived in the Bynum area farming and ranching with Ike Moorhouse. Funeral services were held Tuesday at the Bynum Methodist church with ex service men in attendance and a color guard.

Elling Yensen Dies Aged 70 In Dutton Community
Elling Yensen, a well known farmer from the Dutton area in Teton county, died last Friday at his home. A native of Norway, he had lived in the Dutton community for many years and was buried beside his wife, who died last July, after Norwegian Lutheran church services led by Rev. E. F. Carlson of Chateau.

County Agent Robert Clarkson says Teton county farmers are feeding a large calf herd for market with 4 H club success fueling interest. North side producers H. J. Moon and Savik Larson begun fattening a carload, using hay and grain with plans for three pounds daily ration and about a ton of grain per calf before seven to nine months of feeding.

Thanksgiving turkey shipment yields 29 ct net for growers
Final returns on the Thanksgiving shipment of turkeys by the Teton County Shipping association reached County Agent Robert Clarkson’s office. Prime birds netted growers 29 cents per pound, officials say, while the association received 31 cents with two cents per pound charged for packing and shipping.
