At a regular meeting the Woman's Club set library hours: Monday Wednesday Friday and Saturday 5 to 6 PM for all patrons. Tuesday 7:30 to 8:30 PM adults only with no children. Committees for library financing in the next three months were announced including New Year s and February card parties and March dances led by local members. T A Meagher of Great Falls sues George Kinnikin and M P Robertson for 653 dollars plus interest and costs claiming he furnished an auto and drove for interviews with ranchers and that 658 cattle were bought at Jack Mills ranch near Augusta on July 10 1923 but he has not been paid. Miss Helen Cameron of Glencoe High School won the grand prize in an historical essay contest conducted by a Toronto manufacturing company. The prize offers $200 in gold or a free trip to New York. Car Hits Cow on Graveled Highway Near Flume
While returning from Great Falls Friday night a car driven by T A Meagher with Wilson Gray as passenger struck a cow near Flume. The animal appeared suddenly and could not be avoided. The radiator and fenders were badly damaged. No injuries to the occupants. The cow disappeared by Saturday morning. The car was towed and will need a new radiator and fenders.

Adrian deYong Dies Saturday After Illness
Adrian deYong died at his home on Saturday December 16 1923 after a recent decline in health. Born August 30 1872 in St Louis Missouri he married Mary Burker in Webster Groves Missouri in 1892. He lived in Oklahoma Montana and Chateau before opening the Sterling Cigar store in Chateau where he remained until his death. He belonged to multiple fraternal orders and services were held at the local Methodist church and later at Great Falls with Masonic burial rites. He is survived by his wife son five brothers and two sisters.
