Fairfield community programs and local sports recap
Community groups held Christmas programs at the church with music by Nadine Genger and Janis Bueling and prepared for Fort Harrison gifts. The Fairfield Eagles beat Centerville Miners 45 to 32 in a Saturday game with Squires and Schenk leading scoring. A preliminary win by Fairfield Reserves over Centerville B’s 40 to 28 preceded district games against Cut Bank and Conway. Community events included caroling plans, a candlelight choir concert, and a Teen-Timers folk dance. Several residents travel or visit relatives in Great Falls, Seattle, and California, and a Red Cross Blood Mobile drive is planned for January with local officers named.
