The Rev J F Schulte longtime pastor of St Josephs Choteau Montana is promoted to St Pauls Parish Anaconda to begin duties December 18 He served as assistant at Anaconda 1915 1927 later led St Lukes Chateau and oversaw major church and hall improvements including debts paid and two new brick tile churches built in Fairfield and Chateau during 1941 1942.

Rev and Mrs A Bernard Gravdal were subjected to a western charivari in Chateau. The Chicago bride wore a squaw costume with an Indian blanket and war bonnet while the pastor appeared in a ten gallon hat and white sheet. A hand sled and sleigh ride were part of the procession before all gathered at the Lutheran church parlors for refreshments prepared by the church women.
