War Accelerated Method For Making Parabolic Mirrors
A chemic al deposition process on a glass mold forms parabolic mirrors. Silver is deposited chemically on a polished glass surface, thickened electrolytically, then plated with a sixteenth inch copper and backed with strengthening material. Thermal expansion differences loosen the metal from glass, and a lacquer coat makes the surface waterproof and heatproof, enabling faster production than grinding and polishing glass mirrors.
