Work Begins Monday on 3 Year WPA Recreation Project
Mayor John Hentges announced city wide WPA recreation program to start next week. The three year project includes graveling, building, and improvements at the city park, Legion pavilion, ball diamond, high school athletic field, grade school facilities, and plans for a race track and rodeo equipment. Total funding equals 77 031 with 56 153 for labor and supervision and 20 878 for materials.

Three Deer Taken Illegally Lead to $75 Fine and Seizures

Bond Recovery After Missouri River Ice Finds Malone Papers
Great Falls paper reports the recovery of bonds worth seven thousand dollars and other valuable papers belonging to C. K. Malone of Great Falls. A thief, William Myers, confessed to the Nov. 17 burglary at the Chicago Milwaukee St. Paul railroad station baggage room, after which Malone’s papers were dumped into the Missouri River but later recovered. Detective Frank and Sgt. Grady coordinated the arrest and recovery including a suit and trousers pawned, later traced to ice near the river edge.

Fields in Accident Involving Burning Truck Near Three Forks
Leif Fields, local tracker, escaped with minor burns after a cement run for Knudtzon Lumber Co. crashed when horses in the road forced an off-road maneuver. Elk Killing Threat Averted At Ford Creek Meeting
A potential elk massacre near Circle H ranch on Ford Creek west of Augusta was defused after a two hour talk between C. R. Miss Lucile McKay daughter of Mrs. Katherine McKay of Great Falls and Gilmore R. Hanson of Fairfield wed at the Rev A Lunde home in Great Falls last Saturday afternoon.
