Not Much Change Expected In State's College Enrollment
Montana University System total net enrollment for fall 1972 is projected at 23 269, down 293 students from last fall. Reasons include draft avoidance, graduate unemployment, rising college costs, and students leaving temporarily who may return later. Enrollment changes by unit are mixed with two up, three down, one steady. Details list 1971 actuals and 1972 projections for EMC, MSU, Montana Tech, Western, NMC, and UM, plus opening dates and orientation plans.
