Pendroy Girl Killed as Auto Upsets on Highway
Lois Findlay fifteen year old daughter of Bert Findlay of Pendroy was killed when a car driven by Joe Favot of Pendroy overturned on the Choteau Bynum highway north of Chateau. Four other occupants were injured lightly. Favot had minor injuries. The accident occurred while Favot tried to pass another vehicle. Lois Findlay had just received her diploma and was en route to start high school. Funeral services will be held at the Connor chapel in Chateau.

Government opens harvest labor office in Great Falls
The Federal Labor Department and State Labor and Publicity Department opened a harvest labor office in Great Falls last Saturday August 11 to supply northern Montana with harvest workers at prices not to exceed 2.50 to 3 dollars per day plus board. County Agent Robert Clarkson will represent the office in Teton county and farmers are urged to use the service and avoid boosting wages as labor is plentiful.

Iriteau members of the Teton County Plowmen and Threshermen Association met at County Agent Robert Clarkson's office in Choteau last Saturday August 11 to set 1924 threshing prices and discuss prospects. Officers were re elected Gilbert Barr president Roy Hail dof vice president and C O Younce secretary treasurer. Members urged to join at one dollar. The 1924 scale lists per crew and per hour rates for wheat oats barley rye flax with and without crew, plus higher rates for hilly or scattered fields. Prices assume four dollar daily wages for men and two dollar daily wages for teams. eleven hours work.

Sheriff Arrests Three on Charge of Dynamiting Fish
Henry Kind of Power Pete Helene and H Holmes of Dutton were arrested by Sheriff Reiquam on a warrant from Justice Charles Perris charging them with using explosives to catch fish. The blast in Spring Creek near Chateau and the Tuyons ranch allegedly killed many trout. They pleaded not guilty and posted $500 bond each for trial.

Miss Alva Larson eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs T O Larson of Chateau was declared the winner of the Princess Contest by The Acantha to represent Teton at the Montana Queen Contest in Helena with the Montana State Fair. Larson led with 6400 votes from 16100 cast, narrowly beating Miss Dorothy Longmuir and Miss Phyllis Pridham amid regional and national support.

Child Health Clinics Planned Across Teton County Towns
State health nurse Mrs. Henrietta Crockett will lead six clinics over the next five days in Teton county towns. The program, financed by the Child Welfare Division, focuses on physical exams for children under school age and teaches parents diet and health methods. Teton County High School will open for the 1924 25 term on Monday morning September 8. Streeter party plans two week trip by canyon route
Walter Streeter Jesse Gleason and Jim Blakeslee left Sunday with nack outfits for a trip to Snotted Gear via Teton canyon. They were joined by Mr. Streeter Mrs. Gleason and Mrs. Blakeslee at the mouth of the canyon Monday and the Indies will make the trip with them. The party expects to be gone about two weeks.
