County School District Finances Reported by Close of July

Fine Oats Show at Fairfield by Josef Thorud
Josef Thorud of Fairfield county brought a sample of very fine oats to town last Saturday. Bystanders called the oats the finest seen, whether irrigated or dry land. Thorud also has an unusually good wheat field. Water is scarce in Fairfield and nearby, with only light rainfall noted.
