Two rural electrification surveys in Teton county prompt Montana to place project sponsorship under the Montana Water Conservation Board named the Montana Electric Authority. Wheat acreage cut looms in 1936 farm program

An Associated Press report states regional Resettlement Administration offices opened in Denver led by director J. H. Jenkins. Dr Wr. Elser of New Mexico A&M becomes chief of the regional office. Robert Clarkson, Mount Helena exten sion agent, will run rehabilitation projects in Montana and oversee cattle purchases in distressed areas with Denver as headquarters, unconfirmed.

Fire sparked by lightning near Arsenic Peak on forest land
A lightning caused fire in the Teton district of the Lewis and Clark National Forest near Arsenic Peak, five miles northeast of Allen ranch on Sun River. Lookout John Bossler spotted it. Julian Stenson and two more firefighters were dispatched. Fire extinguished by the time its 170 foot perimeter formed. Forest Ranger L H McLean urged minimal camp fires and carrying tools. continued dry weather keeps fire danger high.

Fifteen F. F. A. boys from the Teton chapter attended a four day camp July 25 to 28 at Chief Mountain in Glacier National Park. Attending were also adviser M. K. Luther and cook Tom Moore. Schools represented included Opheim Hinsdale Simms Conrad Walier Browning, with total attendance 79. A park ranger spoke on outdoor living and forest protection as part of recreation and instruction. Games and contests were held among groups, and Mr Luther noted the kitten ball results.

The 1935 Teton County chautauqua held at the county high school auditorium returned a net balance near $50 despite receipts of $280.65 and expenditures around $225. The event featured the play The Millionaire, county children acts, musical numbers, and a Friday address by W L Upshaw. Sponsors credited and a 4-H ticket contest awarded prizes.

John Todd and his son Dick flew their own plane from Pomona California to the local airport arriving Tuesday. They stayed with Mr and Mrs Arthur Hirshberg and continued their trip to Glacier and Yellowstone national parks en route home. Their ship attracted many admirers.
