Lane rescinds 80 acre relinquishment order for Montana settlers

Secretary Lane of the Interior rescinded the 80 acre relinquishment requirement on 160 acre holdings under the Great Falls reclamation project. The change, urged by local residents and commercial bodies, delays enforcing the May 1 1914 deadline until water service is ready, per a message transmitted by Controller W A Ryan and released by Acting Supervising Engineer Charles P Williams.

Reds and Blues Claimed Winners in Church Club Feast

The First M. E. Sunday school hosted a Reds versus Blues membership and attendance contest. The Blues served a full chicken dinner led by Mrs. John Holland after the tally showed 66 diners. Laughter and games followed with duets and a musical guessing round before all sang familiar tunes and the Reds thanked the Blues.
