Bob Maloney retires after 20 years as bulk dealer for Standard Oil Co. Gary Johnson of Dutton becomes the new operator of the Choteau bulk plant. Johnson, lifelong Dutton resident, is married to LaVerne and has three children. Maloney and his wife Aileen plan semi retirement but will continue selling farm chemicals.

Extension Office Hearing Set for Fairfield Next Tuesday

James Karas of Choteau Activities Inc announces a tri county rehabilitative program for developmental disabilities in Teton Lewis and Clark and Pondera counties. Eight clients currently enrolled with expected growth to about 15 by June after renovations and a group home opening in Chateau. City Holds Bid Opening For New Storage Building
The Choteau City Council accepted the low bid from P and H Builders of Choteau for a 37 by 100 foot metal storage building at 10 420.42, with material and labor costs broken out. Additional bids were reviewed, a garbage unit study planned, permit requirements emphasized, and council discussed sewer connections, staffing, and city investments including a 35000 CD.

Blood Drawing Nets 74 Pints At Choteau
The Choteau blood drawing in April netted 74 pints, just below the 75 pint quota. Eight volunteers could not donate, though 82 people gave blood.
