Sky Pilot Van Orsdel a Montana frontier preacher and scout
Rev. William Wesley Van Orsdel known as Brother Van built churches and schools across Montana. He served as a circuit rider and later as a scout under Gen. O O Howard during the Nez Perce war, riding to Bannack and guiding relief missions while continuing evangelistic work in mining camps and towns.
