Personal column reflections on reader pleasure and fellowship
The author thanks readers for enjoying the column and notes there is little real merit in their writing. An hour chat with neighbors over the fence would not spark world changing ideas, yet the fellowship and good will remain a pleasant byproduct of the column.
Rumors About Reputation Spread Through Gossip and Snubs
The note suggests many people doubt the speaker under their name while others mock the writer. The author mentions skipping writings from various folks when pressed for time but warns those who dislike their star to vent to someone more willing to listen.
