Potato acreage limits set for Teton County 159 acres
Teton county 1950 commercial potato allotment fixed at 159 acres with 119 acres last year. Jake Luinstra, county production and market administrator, says individual allotments will be announced soon and urges growers to plant within limits. Overproduction harms price support and eligibility for the 1950 program, with support prices about 17 cents per hundredweight lower than 1949. Montana’s 1950 allotment is 7,100 acres, down from 8,800 acres in 1949.
