Mrs James Ballantyne Dies at 45 on Bird Ranch
Mrs James Ballantyne 45 died last Saturday at her Bird ranch home south of Chateau after a long illness with pulmonary tuberculosis. Maiden name Anna Louise Rebbine she was born in Alexander Minnesota and married 25 years ago. The family moved to Montana in 1920 from Canada and lived on the Bird ranch since the county poor farm stayed under local staff. She is survived by a husband a Minnesota born daughter and an adopted son at home. Funeral services were held at the M E church in Chateau with Rev Robert Culbertson officiating burial followed at Chateau cemetery.

Nine Stands of Bees Ordered for Teton Farmers

The twin son of Mayor Geo M Coffey Jr died at a Billings hospital after influenza pneumonia. Jerry Coffey was reported improving in Billings while Jack passed away after a short illness. The Coffey couple planned to return to Chateau with the body as funeral plans awaited final arrangements.

Emmet Williams Dies After Brief Illness in Chateau
Emmet Williams aged about 45 a longtime resident of this Montana area died early yesterday at City hospital in Chateau following emergency intestinal surgery performed Tuesday night. He had lived at the L. J. Otness ranch and was a bachelor employed on local farms including work for Nick Wilket. Coroner C. H. Connor awaiting word from Williams father in Minnesota on funeral arrangements. an uncle Geo. Harris is reported but not reached.

Band Makes Big Hit With Monster Crowd
The Montana State College Regimental Band drew a packed crowd in Choteau with a program of classical and popular music. The 30 piece ensemble wore new uniforms and received enthusiastic applause including an encore. A dance by the T club followed the concert with the Rose Garden Collegian Orchestra providing music for the eight piece dance band. The appearance is planned as an annual event.
