The Ira Keeney Family Fund started last week at Quanah and Childress has received more donations this morning and Saturday. Gene Frisbie of the ASC office reported another contribution. The latest gift came from Mr. and Mrs. Ben A. Goodwyn of Dallas, 6214 Oram Street. Donors from outside the area have added to the total, which now stands around 1900 dollars. Earl Hackler did not report today. Contributions may be made through The Index or the ASC office in the courthouse. Continued on Page Two.

Nashville News Publisher Dies Of Heart Attack
Fort Worth Texas dispatch reports Silliman Evans 61 longtime Nashville publisher president of the Nashville Tennessean died of a heart attack early Sunday after attending the funeral of Amon Carter. Evans formerly worked for Carter at the Fort Worth Star Telegram and was a director at American Airlines. A M Mosier found the body in Evans room at the Fort Worth Club and noted pills unopened on a bedside table.
