Two Car Collision Hours After Morning Traffic Incident

Coleen Smith headed south on Third Street and hit Bennie Jane Smotherman traveling west on Avenue B. Smith cited for speeding and Smotherman for failure to grant right of way. Bridge collapse on FM Road 104 near Paducah
A Farm to Market Highway 104 bridge over a small creek collapsed about noon today while a truck attempted to cross it. The bridge, similar to a washed out Pease River span, lay six miles from Paducah on the Kirkland to Paducah route. An unidentified truck occupant was injured and hospitalized in Paducah. The road had recently been opened to light traffic after heavy rains.
