Dozen Cities Struck By Racial Violence Across Nation
A dozen American cities faced outbreaks of racial violence from Monday night into Tuesday morning with Detroit worst hit. National Guardsmen and federal troops moved in to quell riots, while cities like Cambridge Maryland Toledo Tucson Englewood Houston and Rochester reported arson looting and clashes. At least 29 people were killed and more than 1,500 injured nationwide as authorities arrested over 2,100 rioters.

Mary Dee Meinzer suffered injuries in a two car collision at 9 15 p m Monday at Avenue F and Fifth Street Northwest. Frank Earl Teden of Amarillo was westbound on Avenue F and stopped for a signal light not working. Teden received a ticket for no driver s license. Heavy damage occurred to both cars.
