Mental Escapee Is Returned To Nebraska
Howard Earl Deeds, an escapee from Hastings state mental hospital, Neb, was released by City Police to Nebraska hospital officials on Tuesday. He was arrested November 27 on vagrancy charges and had been transferred to the hospital from a penitentiary, according to Chief Roy Hassell.

Martin Andrew Coyne known as Mart died at 4 10 this morning at his home 1103 Avenue K NW after a long illness. He was 62 and will be buried in Childress Cemetery after funeral services at Central Christian Church. Coyne, once owner of Coyne Motor Company, was a Fort Worth native who moved to Childress in 1907 and later returned to business here after stints in oil refining and retail.
