About 45 000 cars are expected from California citrus exports though early estimates are uncertain. Industry officials cite strong demand and potential record yields but warn figures will solidify after harvest progress.
The GROP reports from California citrus districts project a 10 to 15 percent NAVEL shortfall and a 15 to 25 percent VALENCIA increase. Total state shipments may reach about 44 674 to 45 000 cars for the year ending Oct 31 1915, with San Diego and Riverside districts boosting lemon output and Los Angeles and San Bernardino counties detailing varied but rising Valencia figures.
Northern California. Los Angeles, Oct 1 The Packer's reports gathered from growers and shippers throughout the central and northern citrus belt in this state. The St. Louis market notes say moderate egg receipts are absorbed by strong local demand with firsts at 21 1/2 cents and ordinary firsts near 19 1/2 cents per dozen.
