Kansas City May 4 Karl Van Slyck a claim attorney formerly of Cincinnati and Covington Ky could not be found by The Packer man who searched Covington for information on claims complainants could not get satisfaction from Van Slyck He previously handled railroad claims on a very large scale but was slow in meeting obligations.

G M Cumming president of the Bronx Refrigerating Co confirms withdrawal from the International Auction Co amid rumors of friction in the company office Emerson’s alleged connections denied by Cumming who says he knew nothing of the silk and butter trade roasts. Emerson claimed he handled 60000 cases of eggs this year but officials note possible stock value gains from circulars suggesting a $6 per case rise. About 46,500 boxes of Sicily lemons were offered this week with mixed quality. Sizes varied with No 1 at 3 to 4 dollars, No 2 at 2.55 to 5.25, and 300s around 4.25 to 3.4 dollars. Expectation of 56,000 boxes next week and continued price strength follows.

Six Ayres creditors signed to allow the transfer and settle as realized. Rosebrock plans a new dairy venture at 204 Franklin Street with unknown capitalization. Liabilities listed at 210000.
A. Damiano & Sons of Kenner Louisiana say Western Produce Co of Springfield NL owned by L. Puglisi owe them $14 for vegetables shipped in January. They report no settlement or reply after multiple letters and inquiries, despite two to three letters last month. The matter was referred to The Packer.
California cherries sold at auction with good prices for sound fruit but some mould and decay in lines. Monday receipts totaled about 130 boxes across one car and several express lots, from various distributors, with prices generally from 1 to 1 to 3.75 for fancy Tartarians and Chapanns. A second car from Cordelia by Stewart Fruit Co. yielded satisfactory prices amid decent utility and light express shipments.

Worida melons and potatoes from Jacksonville show 85 cars of melons moved this week with 25 to 20 pound average weights and prices from 200 to 225 dollars per car. Hastings shipments totaled 16 cars. Rains Monday and Tuesday halted shipping. Movement nearly complete with about 73 cars left to move before season end.
