Idaho Fruit Prospects Are Good

Boise Idaho May 18 The prospect for a fruit crop here is unusually good. A prominent fruit man estimates the coming Italian prune crop at 8000 cars and the apple crop at 7000 cars. Apples will be mainly red varieties Jonathans Rome Beauty Delicious Winesap and Arkansas Black. Normal potato production is 7000 to 10000 cars and hundreds of cars of onions. Around Boise about 50 cars of celery will be shipped October 1 to Thanksgiving. Prune driers are being erected in southwestern Idaho to handle several hundred thousand pounds of the crop.

Obermyer Baltz Case Up Again

The Obermeyer of Jackson Minnesota sues Wisconsin Dairy Farms Company of Chicago led by president R A N Baltz in Municipal Court for 72 tubs of butter shipped in 1913 with a large balance due. Freight and express shipments flow to markets across the North East and West with some cars marked for Canadian markets. East Tennessee Klondykes sell around 2.40 to 2.50, West Tennessee Klondyke shipments 2.40 to 2.60, and Aromus 3.50. Thompsons bring about 2.50 to 2.75 in the jobbing trade.

Strength in Potatoes at Chicago This Week
