Test case seen in suit on California grape contracts
San Francisco May 16 What is seen by those close to the grape situation in California as a test case in enforcing contracts of the Grape Control Board with growers was filed Friday of last week against the Earl Fruit Company. The Earl Fruit Company controlled by Joseph DiGiorgio president of the DiGiorgio Fruit Corporation is a leading producing organization and the former largest individual shipping company in the state. The complaint demands payment to the government with the Federal Farm Board and the California Grape Cone.

Glass Libel Verdict Wins for Memphis Broker
Guy W. Glass Brokerage of Memphis sued E. G. Herman of Hemingford Neb for libel over a February 10 1930 letter. Jailed by a jury the court awarded Glass 250 in damages and costs with a new trial requested by Herman. The dispute grew from three potato car shipments. two cars to Barboro Co and one to Butler.
