New York Sees First Louisiana Strawberries Reach Market
March 28 New York reports strawberries arriving from Louisiana for the first time this season. Previously all arrivals came from Florida with six or seven cars daily. Heavy rains last week across the potato belt delayed harvesting, with fields too waterlogged to dig except on high points.
