New York, Feb 28. Sensational prices were obtained for Spanish onions at auction this week. A cargo of 14,000 crates saw 1,200 crates sold at auction for $3.45 per crate for 50 onions and $3.55 for 72s. Many importers sold stock privately at $2.12 to $2.25 per crate to arrive. Currently about 1,200 crates remain afloat for New York.
