Knute Aaland aged 17, a leading Red River valley seed and table potato grower and marketing leader, died June 2 in Grafton hospital after a collision near Hoople. Funeral in Hoople Lutheran church with Rev. Brantford. Burial in Hoople cemetery. Surviving are widow, four sons Andrew Adolph Morgan Clarence all of Hoople, two daughters Mrs Will Robbins Cavalier and Mrs H G Lewis Bozeman Mont. He had farmed 360 acres in Glenwood township and 1,000 acres in Pembina county, headed Asland Potato Company, and traveled extensively.
