Complaint Dismissed Against Growers Marketing Company
In Los Angeles on January 24 an opinion by C J Carey chief of the division of market enforcement of the California State Department of Agriculture found the Growers Marketing Company of this city not responsible for the actions of Robert Y Kim in Imperial Valley in spring 1935. The ruling said Kim was not employed by or acting as an agent of the Growers Marketing Company when he consigned produce to the firm, so the complaint was dismissed and Kim was held liable to 21 growers for 1736.85 dollars.
